A STEP (Service Training for Environmental Progress) Project for Summer 2004

At the time of the project Rob Hopper was an Old Dominion University junior majoring in Environmental Engineering and Julie Still was a Virginia Tech junior majoring in Fisheries Science.

Celebrating the successful end of the STEP project on the Rockfish River are (from left) Gail Roussos, Julie Still, Michael LaChance, Albert LaChance, Robert Hopper, Cindy LaChance, Wendy Collins, Conny Roussos and David Collins.

Rob and Julie took numerous photographs, including this one of severe stream bank erosion on the South Fork of the Rockfish River.
The project included canoe training for Rob and Julie.
